Minnesota star Anthony Edwards is set to miss "multiple weeks" due to a knee injury suffered on Saturday ⁠night during the Timberwolves' NBA Playoffs win over the Denver Nuggets.

As per sources, Edwards suffered bone bruising and ‌hyperextension of the knee during the match.

Testing did not reveal any ligament damage, ‌and he is scheduled to begin rehab immediately.

NBA insider Shams Charania reported the following on social media:

"Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has sustained a bone bruise and hyperextension in his left knee and is expected to miss multiple weeks, sources tell ESPN.

"Results showed Edwards avoided any ligament damage, but he will now miss time."

The Timberwolves, the ‌sixth seed in the West, defeated the third-seeded Nuggets 112-96 on Saturday to take a 3-1 lead in their series.

The best-of-seven series resumes on Monday night in Denver.
