Our list does not include special editions, such as "anniversary" kits - the ranking is of playing shirts.
Top 20 coolest shirts of 2025
1 - Chapecoense (home kit)

The most striking shirt of 2025 was launched in December. Chapecoense's new home kit recalls the plane crash that killed the team's players and staff in 2016 - and which will be 10 years old in 2026.
Manufactured by Kappa, the garment is a tribute to Atletico Nacional, due to the Colombian team's "outstanding gestures of solidarity, empathy and love of neighbour" after the accident. Nacional were to be Chape's opponents in that fateful Copa Sudamericana final that never took place.
The uniform has already been such a success that Kappa is unable to meet demand.
2 - Germany (home kit

The 2026 World Cup will be Adidas' last with Germany, and the brand has decided to say goodbye in a bombastic way.
The model is reminiscent of Germany's triumph in the 1990 World Cup.
3 - Juventus (3rd kit)

This Juve marvel not only features the Trefoil (the old Adidas logo), but also the classic little horse that used to be part of the Italian club's emblem.
According to the Turin club, the garment is a tribute to the winemaking tradition of the Piedmont region.
4 - Genoa (3rd kit)

Kappa produced some works of art in 2025, most notably the Genoa uniforms. The third kit, with its centenary look, is the most impeccable of all.
If you have no idea what to wear to that wedding you've been invited to, the Genoa kit is the best option in this ranking.
5 - Liverpool (third kit)

Adidas knows best: there's nothing more seductive than a nostalgic reinterpretation of a classic.
Liverpool's third kit pays homage to the green that the Reds wore with elegance - and some joy - in the 1990s. It was one of the biggest sellers among Premier League teams this season.
The model marks the return of Trefoil to Liverpool for the first time since 1992.
6 - Flamengo (third kit)

Flamengo is one of the few cases where the club's old crest doesn't outshine the more modern versions. Even so, the Rubro-Negro's bright new third kit is another Adidas hit and has already become a collector's item.
7 - Arsenal (third kit)

Adidas did very well this year, producing one of the most beautiful kits in a while.
8- Nice (home kit)

Simple and elegant, Nice's home shirt makes Milan fans long for Kappa and the Van Basten and Carlo Ancelotti team of the early 1990s.
9 - Boca Juniors (home kit)

Boca's home kit would strike fear into the hearts of any opponent, but the current team doesn't help.
Despite the Argentinian club's difficult times, the current shirt is a source of pride for the Xeneize fans.
10 - Roma (away kit)

It's hard to go wrong with the Roma kit. The club has a memorable combination of colours, a she-wolf on its shield and lives in Italy.
This season's reserve kit is retro and brings back the green colour of the team's past: impeccable.
This is the fifth - and last - model from Adidas' Trefoil range in our ranking.
11 - Rangers (home kit)

The only Umbro shirt in this year's top 20 comes from Scotland.
Rangers have something in common with Flamengo that works very well: both use a typographic emblem on the shirt that bears the club's initials, instead of the "full" shield.
This tactic brings a stamp of tradition to their colours. Rangers' 2025 first-team uniform beautifully emphasises the team's emblem.
12 - Porto (third kit)

It's been a long time since New Balance produced Porto's uniforms, and it's been a long time since we've seen anything exciting.
The third kit launched in 2025, however, escapes the rule: it's discreet, "slick" and with a collar that makes all the difference.
13 - Milan (away kit)
Although reminiscent of the model used in the 1982 relegation campaign, Milan's new away kit is a beauty. The highlight of the shirt is a devil in place of the club's traditional symbol.
This is the only Puma shirt in our top 20.

14 - Atalanta (away kit)

The second New Balance shirt in our top 20 is Atalanta's reserve shirt.
From the incomplete stripes inspired by the 1980s team to the goddess emblem used in the 1960s, everything is excellent.
15 - Finland (home kit)

The second - and last - national team to appear on our list, Finland aren't going to the World Cup, but they have a beautiful Nike uniform to play friendly matches in 2026.
16 - Spurs (away kit)

It's not easy to design incredible shirts for Tottenham, as the club's traditional uniforms lack colour and shape.
However, let's hear it for Nike for the London team's collection launched this year. All three shirts are great, with the second one standing out.
17 - Panathinaikos (home kit)

Panathinaikos' home shirt is sometimes vertically striped, sometimes horizontally, and in some seasons - like the current one - the team wears all green.
This is how the Greek team played in the 1970s. The model, launched in 2025 by Adidas, introduced white shoulders, and it worked very well.
18 - PSG (home kit)

As with the Finnish shirt, Nike has included "trellises" in the vertical strip of PSG's new uniform.
According to the club's website, the design is inspired by the architectural heritage of Paris.
19 - Werder Bremen (third kit)

Werder Bremen are the best-dressed team in the Bundesliga this season. The three new uniforms from Hummel are great - with the third kit standing out.
20. Dinamo Zagreb (home kit)

The biggest surprise in the ranking is that the home shirt of the Croatian league leaders didn't get the credit it deserved.
This is Castore's best work of the season.
