Norwegian international superstar Henny Reistad from Team Esbjerg was hospitalized after the season's first pre-season friendly, where there were fears that she had suffered a serious injury.

According to migogesbjerg.dk , she clutched her head after being pushed hard to the floor and was clearly in great pain.

"Just seven minutes into the match, she was pushed by an opponent and crashed hard onto the floor. She screamed, she was bleeding, and she was clearly in a great deal of pain", says the media.

The physiotherapist and her teammates rushed over to Reistad, who remained on the ground, clutching her head. At first, it appeared that she might have broken her nose, but fortunately, the injury was not severe.

Chairman Bjarne Pedersen quickly stopped by the dressing room, where Reistad was receiving treatment.

"She has sustained a very deep gash across her left eye. We have consulted our own doctor, and she has therefore been sent to the hospital in Horsens, where they are attending to her," says Chairman of the Board Bjarne Pedersen, according to the local media.

Team Esbjerg played against Nykobing Falster. The match took place in Skanderborg and ended 27–22 in favor of NFH.
