Knowing that only a win would do, the crowd inside the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix grew increasingly nervous after a slow start from the hosts.

Some gloss was added to the scoreline on 88 minutes when Muriqi crashed the ball in from close range, ending an impressive individual campaign on 23 La Liga goals.
Despite the three points, Mallorca find themselves relegated in 18th position, losing out on the tie-breaker with Osasuna and Levante, who also finished on 42 points. Real Oviedo were officially relegated on gameweek 35, but also ended the season at the foot of the table following a seven-game winless run.
