The 33-year-old announced his retirement in a lengthy Instagram post. Havenstein spent his entire career with the Rams, also being part of the team that won Super Bowl LVI (2022).
He's coming off a season in which he played only seven games - a career low for the vet. In 148 games, Havenstein was called for only 36 penalties over that time span. In 10 of his 11 years, he played in at least 97% of the Rams' offensive snaps throughout each of those respective seasons, including 100% in five of them.
Among veteran tackles with eight or more years in the league, Havenstein had the sixth-best sack rate. His contract would've carried a $6.97 million cap hit for this upcoming season.
Havenstein finished his career as a captain of a Super Bowl-winning team.
