Denmark's greatest-ever boxing star, Mikkel Kessler, will make a comeback to the ring. On Wednesday morning, the Kessler camp announced a press conference to be held on Thursday at 14.00 CET. Mikkel Kessler and his long-time promoter, Kalle Sauerland, will be in attendance.
According to sources, the 47-year old Kessler and Sauerland will announce that "The Viking Warrior" plans to return to the ring on 28 November at an event in Copenhagen co-organized by the German promoter Kalle Sauerland.
It has been more than 13 years since Kessler was in action the last time
Kessler's opponent is believed to be an American—currently unidentified—though the name has not yet been finalized as last-minute negotiations are still underway.
