Nagy will be the first big name to join the newly hired head coach John Harbaugh's staff as the team works to fill coaching needs.
Nagy spent the past four seasons under Andy Reid on the Kansas City Chiefs, working as the offensive coordinator in the past three. He and Harbaugh both worked under Reid. Now they'll be leading a new age for the Giants as they head back to the NFC East division together.
During his time as offensive coordinator, the Chiefs' offense ranked 9th (2023), 17th (2024), and 20th (2025) overall. The team's 17th and 20th-overall offensive rankings are the worst in the team's history since Patrick Mahomes became the team's starting quarterback.
He was, however, the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs for a single year (2017) when they ranked 5th overall and 6th in scoring, before he joined the Chicago Bears as their head coach for four years (2018-2021) - the Bears' offence never cracked the top 20 during those years with Nagy as head coach.
