The second Soweto Derby of the Betway Premiership season between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs has been moved to Sunday, 26 April, officials have confirmed.

It will be the first time in five years the fixture has been played on a Sunday, with the last 12 derby matches all taking place in their traditional Saturday slot. Kick-off remains at 15h00.

The match at FNB Stadium could be crucial for both teams, with Pirates seeking to stay ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns in the title race. They currently head the table by one point but have played a game more.

Chiefs are looking to lock in on third place and qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup next season. They are one point behind AmaZulu in third spot, but have two games in hand.

Pirates easily beat Chiefs 3-0 when the teams clashed in the first Soweto Derby of the campaign on February 28.
