Bodo/Glimt will begin their defense of the cup title the day after the decisive return leg in the playoff round of their Champions League campaign.
This follows the rescheduling of the Norwegian Cup match against third-division side Fauske/Sprint from the weekend of 22–23 August to Wednesday, 28 August, reports the Norwegian media outlet "Avisa Nordland".
"We wanted to move this match to ensure the best possible recovery and training between the two crucial playoff games," says Glimt’s media officer, Simen Pedersen, to the newspaper.
This move means there will be only 19 hours between the end of the match against the Dutch side NEC Nijmegen and the start of Bodo/Glimt’s cup campaign. That window will be even shorter if the Champions League qualifier at Aspmyra stadium goes to extra time.
