Anders Dreyer scored on a penalty kick in the 89th minute after a hand-ball foul on LAFC defender Ryan Porteous. It was his eighth goal this season as San Diego FC pulled off a 1-0 victory over Los Angeles FC on Saturday night.
It was his eighth goal this season and his 27th in 53 career appearances. Dreyer is now set to be suspended for San Diego's next match after picking up a red card in the seventh minute of stoppage time.
Dreyer was sent off after picking up his second yellow card when he stopped a promising LAFC attack by bringing down former Spurs-striker Heung-min Son. Son had scored in his four previous matches.
The Tunisian international winger, Elias Aschouri got his debut for San Diego in the match after securing his transfer from FC Copenhagen.
