Goalkeeper

Geronimo Rulli (Marseille) 8.6

Roberto De Zerbi's Marseille kept pace with Lens and Paris Saint-Germain at the top of Ligue 1 after a narrow 1-0 win over Monaco on Sunday.

Experienced goalkeeper Rulli was crucial to the Olympians earning maximum points, with the Argentine making five saves and winning all four of his aerial duels.

Defence

Georgios Vagiannidis (Sporting CP) 9.1

The first Sporting player to make our team is right-back Vagiannidis, who played a starring role in his side's emphatic 6-0 victory over AFS.

Not only did the Greek international provide two assists during the match, but he also won all nine of his duels and completed 83% of his passes in the final third.

Leandro Cabrera (Espanyol) 8.5

Cabrera was influential at both ends of the pitch for Espanyol, with the centre-back heading home the winner in his side's 1-0 away triumph at Getafe.

The Uruguayan also made 10 clearances and won 71% of his aerial duels, helping the Catalan outfit to a hard-earned clean sheet.

Malo Gusto (Chelsea) 8.9

Chelsea ended a four-game winless run across all competitions with a relatively routine 2-0 victory over David Moyes' in-form Everton.

Gusto was the star of the show for the Blues, with the full-back setting up Cole Palmer's opener before netting his second Premier League goal of the season with a composed eight-yard finish.

Stije Resink (Groningen) 8.8

Groningen made it back-to-back wins in the Dutch top flight after Resink's brace helped them to a convincing 3-0 home victory against FC Volendam on Saturday.

The midfielder's opener was a stunning strike from the edge of the box, and he added his second of the evening with a composed penalty late on.

Jurgen Ekkelenkamp (Udinese) 8.7

Ekkelenkamp scored his first goal of the season as Udinese pulled off a shock 1-0 triumph over reigning Serie A champions Napoli.

The Dutchman's second-half winner was a lethal finish from 25 yards, while he also created a further two big chances during his 82 minutes on the pitch.

Jamie Leweling (Stuttgart) 8.9

European hopefuls Stuttgart produced a statement performance in the Bundesliga on Sunday evening, as the Swabians romped to a 4-0 away victory at Werder Bremen.

Leweling was directly involved in three of his side's four goals, including a spectacular long-range drive that rocketed beyond Mio Backhaus in the hosts' goal.

Attack

Vangelis Pavlidis (Benfica) 9.0

Pavlidis continued his incredible goalscoring form in the Portuguese top flight with a perfect hat-trick (header, right-footed finish, left-footed finish) in Benfica's 4-0 win at Moreirense.

The Greek striker is now up to 19 goals for the season and becomes the first player since Eusebio in 1965 to reach 42 goals for the Eagles in a calendar year.

Sam Lammers (Twente) 9.2

Twente extended their impressive form in the Eredivisie to just one defeat in 12 matches after a routine 2-0 victory over Go Ahead Eagles on Sunday afternoon.

Lammers proved to be the difference between the two sides, with the striker opening the scoring from the spot before doubling his tally on the stroke of half-time via a clinical close-range finish.

Luis Suarez (Sporting CP) 9.2

The third and final Sporting player to make our team is frontman Suarez, who netted in either half against AFS to move up to 14 goals for the campaign.

It was the Colombian who got the ball rolling for Rui Borges' side with a powerful strike outside the box, while his second goal was a simple tap-in at the back post.
