We're into the second day of play in Miami, where the first men's matches of the year will take place while Emma Raducanu, Belinda Bencic and Victoria Azarenka take to court on the women's side.

04:10 CET - In the final matches of the night on the men's side, Eliot Spizzirri wins a tough one over Billy Harris 7-6, 3-6, 6-2 while Quentin Halys defeats Thiago Seyboth Wild in straight sets 6-3, 6-4

Meanwhile, in the final women's match, Mayar Sherif broke her 16-match losing streak on hard courts after a tough battle win over Lulu Sun 7-5, 1-6, 6-4

02:50 CET - Victoria Azarenka makes quick work of Anhelina Kalinina, defeating her 6-3, 6-1 in just 63 minutes with the second match taking just 28. 

02:45 CET - Still on the women's side, Belinda Bencic defeats Dayana Yastremska 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 after bouncing back from 3-5 in the decider. 

02:30 CET - In a pair of straight-set victories, Alexandre Muller takes down Rei Sakamoto 6-4, 6-4 while Jaume Munar beats Arthur Rinderknech 6-3, 7-6.

23:20 CET - Miomir Kecmanovic has beaten Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-4, 6-4 to set up a second-round clash with Casper Ruud in Miami.

22:26 CET - Nick Kyrgios has notched his first Tour win since October 2022, beating Mackenzie McDonald 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to move into the second round at Miami, where he will meet Karen Khachanov.

The big-serving Aussie has had a rotten time returning from recurring injuries over the last two years but he finally has that first comeback win under his belt. Could we see the 29-year-old return to his scintillating best? Here's hoping so!

22:16 CET - Peyton Stearns has defeated Katie Boulter 6-4, 6-2 to set up a second-round meeting with Elise Mertens in Miami.

Stearns impressed in the win over the Brit, who is still building form after her injury earlier in the year, and will be eyeing a win over Mertens.

21:23 CET - American Katie Volynets has been stunned in Miami by teen wild card Alexandra Eala of the Philippines, who won 6-3, 7-6. Eala's reward is a meeting with Jelena Ostapenko

20:32 CET -  Rising home hope McCartney Kessler has moved into the second round on the women's side in Miami after beating Czech Marie Bouzkova 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 in a mammoth match that lasted over two and a half hours.

France's Caroline Garcia is also through after beating Anna Bondar 6-0, 7-6.

20:25 CET - French veteran Gael Monfils is through to the second round in Miami after beating Fabian Marozsan 6-3, 3-6, 6-4

Over on the women's side, Bernarda Pera eased past wild card Ajla Tomljanovic 6-3, 6-2.

18:19 CET - Emma Raducanu has cruised through, beating Sayaka Ishii 6-2, 6-1 in just one hour and six minutes. That's the Brit's second win in her last eight games, and she'll be aiming to pick up another against world number 10 Emma Navarro in the next round. 

18:08 CET - Belgian veteran David Goffin has advanced with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Aleksandar Vukic of Australia, and his reward for that is a clash with Carlos Alcaraz in the next round.

17:44 CET - Veronika Kudermetova is through to the second round on the women's side in Miami after batting Wang Xinyu 6-2, 7-6.

Kudermetova's next assignment will be facing red-hot fellow Russian Mirra Andreeva.

17:34 CET - The first result of the day, indeed in the men's tournament, over in Miami has come through with Alexander Bublik upsetting in-form Sebastian Baez 6-3, 6-4.

Baez has been having a good year, winning the title in Rio and getting to the final in Santiago but his time in Miami ends here. Bublik will next face 12th seed Tommy Paul.

14:30 CET - Hello and welcome to Flashscore's coverage of today's Miami Open action!

Things will get underway in around 90 minutes, with Alexander Bublik and Sebastian Baez contesting the first men's match of the tournament while two other ATP clashes and four women's matches are also taking place.

Later on in the day meanwhile, Nick Kyrgios will be taking to the court as will Emma Raducanu, Belinda Bencic and Victoria Azarenka.
