18:52 CET - Andy Murray managed to meet expectations as he defeated Sonego to move the round of 16 of the Doha Open, following a 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 victory.
Elsewhere, in Marseille, Alexander Bublik got past Filip Krajinovic by 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 result.
17:05 CET - Another three-set thriller in the deserts of the UAE as Yulia Putintseva and Petra Martic played out a topsy-turvy encounter under the lights. Putinseva won the first set 6-4, but her Croatian opponent hit back in emphatic style, taking the second 6-0. The Kazakh star was not to be outdone, winning the final set 6-2 and marching on to the next round.
15:15 CET - Karolina Pliskova got off to a good start in the UAE, defeating Marketa Vondrousova 6-3, 6-4. Lauren Davis, Aliaksandra Sasnovich, Karolina Muchova, and Ana Bogdan were all victorious and through to the round of 16.
