Noah claim stunning first leg win
8 - Having played 78 minutes down a man, KuPS Kuopio lost 2-0 at home to Lech Poznan in their maiden knockout round game. The Finnish side, who had just one win in their last eight in Europe, will be up against it in Poland next week. It was the eighth time this campaign in which they failed to find the back of the net.
11 - While they would have wanted more than the two goals, Lech will still be pleased with the position they are in. Goals from Antoni Kozubal and Taofeek Ismaheel did the trick for the guests, who reached the quarter-finals in their only previous UECL knockout appearance. They have now scored in each of their last 11 away games.
10 - Few would have thought that the only team to win at home on the night would be Noah. The Armenians pulled off an improbable 1-0 success over AZ Alkmaar to give themselves a realistic shot at moving on. In what is just their fourth campaign playing continental football, Noah earned their 10th clean sheet, nine coming at home.
12 - AZ will have to come from behind, something they would not have expected. The Dutch side have not been convincing in Europe so far this season, with Thursday's result being their fourth loss. While their home record is impeccable, things change for them on their travels. They have now conceded 12 goals in road matches in 2025/26, qualifiers included.
7 - Sigma Olomouc and Lausanne-Sport played to a 1-1 draw in Czechia, leaving us with a fascinating return match. Nathan Butler-Oyedeji's opener for the visitors was cancelled out by Danijel Sturm in a match where the hosts had the best of the chances. It was the seventh time in Sigma's European history that they were involved in a 1-1 scoreline.
5 - Lausanne will be smelling blood as they came out of the match the happier of the two teams. Outshot 21-9, the Swiss outfit held firm to the draw - although they will be disappointed their lead slipped away. Les bleu et blanc have still never beaten a Czech team, now through five matches (0-3-2).
14 - The other team who will be quite happy with how the night went were Zrinjski, who held Crystal Palace to a shock 1-1 tie in Bosnia. Karlo Abramovic's goal 10 minutes after the break cancelled out Ismaila Sarr's opener. The side from Mostar still are heavy underdogs, but they can dream just a bit here. It was the 14th time they drew a home European game.
2 - Palace return home without the expected victory, something that has happened to them a few times in the Conference League already. Despite having 71% of the possession, the Eagles could not find the breakthrough, and will be left disappointed. It is the second time they failed to win a continental clash in which they took the lead.
Fiorentina impress as Celje win in late on
24 - It was heartbreak for Drita, who came from two goals down against Celje, only to concede a goal deep in stoppage time to lose 3-2. After going down 2-0 in the first half, the club from Kosovo almost turned things around in the second 45. This could give them hope heading into next week's decider. That 94th minute goal was the 24th Drita have conceded this season.
4 - Celje have finally returned to winning ways after going three without victory to close their league phase campaign. The job is far from over, something the Slovenians know. Just like last season, they managed to come out on top in the away leg at this stage. They have now won four away matches in the UECL this term, qualifiers included.
9 - Jagiellonia Bialystok did not register a single shot on target as they succumbed to a 3-0 reverse against Fiorentina. Hopes of making the last 16 for the second year running look quite bleak for Jaga, who will have to work some magic to oust their Italian opponents. The defeat saw their nine-game scoring streak in home games come to an end.
30 - Fiorentina may be struggling this season, but will find this win as a massive boost. Luca Ranieri, Rolando Mandragora, and Roberto Piccoli got the goals for La Viola as they look set to qualify for the last 16 for the fourth season on the spin. Thursday's victory marked their 30th in the UECL all-time.
6 - Daniel Adu Adjei's goal four minutes from time was all that separated Omonoia Nicosia and Rijeka as the Croats claimed a 1-0 win on the road. They did finish the game a man down, something the Cypriots could not capitalise on in the final few moments. Omonoia's matches have been decided this season on whether they conceded. This is the sixth time they did not keep a clean sheet, and none of those matches resulted in a win (0-2-4).
1 - Rijeka have a huge opportunity to move through here, as they have not conceded in any of their last four home games. Should that streak continue, they will be the ones partaking in next Friday's draw. Away victories in the main rounds of European football are a rare feat for Rijecki bijeli. In fact, it was the first time they won an away game while keeping a clean sheet.
13 - Shkendija's phenomenal continental journey is in danger of ending this month, as they were beaten 1-0 at home to Samsunspor. Marius claimed the winning goal for the guests five minutes after coming on as a substitute. The North Macedonians are in trouble now, especially seeing they did not score an away goal during the league phase. They lost their 13th home game in Europe all-time.
17 - Samsunspor have enjoyed a maiden voyage in UEFA club competition play. While they are expected to move on, it turned out to be a bigger challenge than they would have liked. Still, they hold the advantage returning to Turkiye, where they are 2-1-1, having kept three clean sheets. On the night, Kirmizi Simsekler had a total of 17 shots.
