Young guns Ivory Coast are the only squad with an average age under 26, coming in at 25.9.
That includes 19-year-old winger Yan Diomande, who has the potential to be one of the most exciting players at the World Cup, and is the only teenager in their squad.
Nine of their 26 players are aged 23 or younger, while the oldest is midfielder Jean Michaël Seri. Only four of their squad are over the age of 30.
Second on the list of youngest squads by average age are Ecuador at 26.1 years, followed perhaps surprisingly by Morocco (26.4) and Bosnia-Herzegovina (also 26.4).
South Africa come in joint sixth on the list at 26.8 years, the same as Spain and Norway.

The youngest player at the tournament is actually from co-hosts Mexico, who Bafana Bafana meet in the tournament opener in Mexico City on June 11. He is midfielder Gilberto Mora, who will be 17 years and 240 days old when the tournament kicks off.
He will be the only player under the age of 18, with the next youngest Hugo Sochurek of another of Bafana’s Group A opponents, Czech Republic, who will be 18 years and four days old. The midfielder’s 18th birthday will be on Sunday.
The youngest player ever at a World Cup finals was Northern Ireland's Norman Whiteside when he played against Yugoslavia at the 1982 World Cup in Spain aged 17 years and 41 days, breaking the previous record held by Pelé.
Iran and Panama are tied for the oldest squads at the World Cup, averaging 30.4 years each.
Iran’s oldest player is 37-year-old centre-back Shoja Khalilzadeh, while they have 16 players out of 26 who are over the age of 30. Left-back Ehsan Hajsafi and right-back Ramin Rezaeian are both 36.

Panama have also gone for experience and have included 38-year-old winger Alberto Quintero, though he is some way short of being the oldest outfield player at the tournament, which is Cristiano Ronaldo at 41 years and 126 days old at kick-off.
But even Ronaldo is not the oldest overall. That honour goes to Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon at 43 years and 162 days.
That is still some way short of the all-time record holder, Egypt goalkeeper Essam El Hadary, who was 45 years and 161 days old when he played against Saudi Arabia in 2018.
