The Boston Red Sox and starting pitcher Walker Buehler (30) agreed to a one-year deal worth $21.05 million on Monday, according to MLB insider Russell Dorsey.

The two-time All-Star and former Los Angeles Dodgers starter, who also got the final out of the 2024 World Series, will be heading to a Boston team that is set on bolstering their starting rotation.

Buehler, who missed the entire 2023 season due to Tommy John surgery, pitched a 5.38 ERA in 16 starts with a career-high 1.553 WHIP for the Dodgers last year during the regular season. The seven-year vet gave up 89 hits and 28 walks in 75.1 innings in 2024 while striking out 64.

But Buehler rebounded come postseason time for the Dodgers.

The lefty dealt with elbow and hip injuries this past season but ultimately came around when it mattered for the Dodgers in the World Series. Now, the veteran is looking to pitch for Boston on a one-year deal before becoming an unrestricted free agent after next season.

Buehler threw a 4.34 ERA against American League teams last season, giving up 12 runs, 24 hits, and seven walks with 13 strikeouts in 18.2 innings.
