The 16th week (July 21st to July 27th) of the 2025 MLB season is over with and it was headlined by a handful of historic milestones and over a dozen insane fielding highlights!

As always, the highlights this week will be divided into the following categories: history, walk-offs, home runs, pitching, and fielding.

Get ready for a look back on what could be the wildest week of highlights (30+) of the season!

History (x6)

Athletics rookie Nick Kurtz put up a historic 6-6 game with four home runs last week, joining only Shawn Green as the only two players since 1900 with a 6-6 game that included four home runs.

Kurtz also became the 20th player in MLB history to record a four-home run game.

Relive every single pitch of Kurtz's historic game below - which some are calling the greatest single game by a batter in the history of baseball!

Los Angeles Angels star centerfielder Mike Trout continues down the Hall of Fame path as he joined the 1,000 RBI club last week!

Trout is now just three home runs away from reaching the 400 mark for his career.

Seattle Mariners star catcher Cal Raleigh continues his historic season as he becomes the first player in baseball to reach 40 home runs this season.

However, what makes it historic is that he now has the most home runs (133) by a Seattle Mariners player in their first five seasons - surpassing the legend Ken Griffey Jr.

Raleigh is now also just the seventh catcher in MLB history to reach 40 home runs in a season. He now needs nine home runs to surpass Salvador Perez (48) for most by a catcher in a single season.

Kansas City Royals pitcher Rich Hill made history last week as he tied the record for most teams (16) played for as a starter - and the 45-year-old pitched well, giving up just one earned run in six innings, including this strikeout on Cubs star Kyle Tucker!

Philadelphia Phillies star power hitter Kyle Schwarber earned his 1,000th career his last week and it came in the most Schwarber way possible - with his 35th home run of the season.

Keeping it in Philly, teammate and star player Bryce Harper launched his 350th career home run for 439 feet!

Walk-Offs (x5)

Nobody would believe me if I told them how this game ended for the Phillies. So I advise to just watch for yourself how one of the weirdest walk-offs of the season came to be!

Bobblehead night continues to be good luck for players this season and this time around it was Zach Neto's turn to send the Los Angeles Angels crowd into a frenzy!

Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman continues to be one of the most clutch players in baseball as he hit a walk-off over the Minnesota Twins with two outs left to get the win!

Watch the insane inning unfold for one of the season's best walk-off wins.

Jonathan India smacked his first career walk-off home run last week and it came in the form of a giant bomb to deep left field to give the Kansas City Royals a win over the division rival Cleveland Guardians!

The Milwaukee Brewers continue to roll this season and walk-offs like this one by Blake Perkins is why they're one of the best teams in baseball, as they're in a battle with the Chicago Cubs for the National League Central division title!

Home Runs (x5)

Houston Astros rookie Brice Matthews put on a clinic last week, including hitting not only his first career home run but his second as well - in the same game!

Even at the end of July, we're still seeing first career home runs from rookies - this time from the Chicago White Sox's Colson Montgomery!

And let's continue it with the White Sox as Kyle Teel also launched his first home run of his MLB career last week!

Let's keep it going as Colorado Rockies' Warming Bernabel sent one to deep left for his career MLB home run!

Nothing better than getting out of a 0-20 slump like sending the Phillies crowd into a state of distraught with a go-ahead grand slam - and that's just what Boston Red Sox's Romy Gonzalez did!

Pitching (x1)

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Christopher Sanchez tossed his third career complete game and his first one of the season last week!

Sanchez went the distance, giving up just one run on four hits while tying his season-high with 12 strikeouts and not recording a single walk.

Fielding (x16)

Cleveland Guardians outfielder Steven Kwan made two great fielding highlights that the MLB gave him an exclusive YouTube post for both of them - that's not common!

Denzel Clarke has been a human highlight reel in centerfield for the Athletics this - but this time it's his teammate Lawrence Butler making stellar plays!

So nice he did it twice - Butler continued to make amazing plays last week, including taking away an extra base hit from Houston Astros star Jose Altuve!

The Pittsburgh Pirates were shutting out one of the league's best in the Detroit Tigers and outfielder Tommy Pham made sure to keep it that way in the ninth inning with a great sliding catch!

This is going to be a highlight you'll want to watch over and over again as Washington Nationals centerfielder Jacob Young went full Spider-Man for this home run robbery!

Baltimore Orioles centerfielder Cedric Mullins not having a single Gold Glove award at this point in his career is a crime against baseball and he showed everyone, yet again, why he deserves one after this unreal catch!

Arizona Diamondbacks star Corbin Carroll utilized his ridiculous speed to track this ball down to deep right-center field - ending it with a smooth sliding catch!

Toronto Blue Jays left fielder Davis Schneider got his uniform dirty with this hard-slamming diving catch!

Athletics right fielder Carlos Cortes fired an absolute laser from the corner of right field to get the out at second base!

New York Mets start Juan Soto showed he can do more than just hit baseball to the moon with this great throw to home plate!

New York Mets star first baseman Pete Alonso can do a lot more than hit bombs with his bat - he can also make incredible game-saving plays in the field!

Pitchers can make amazing plays in the field, too! Check out this wild soccer-style player from Angels pitcher Carson Fulmer to get the out!

Jo Adell gets it done with his glove to take away a home run as the fielding highlights from last week just wouldn't stop!

But wait - there's more! Now this is the definition of a bang-bang play with Red Sox's Ceddanne Rafaela making a diving play to get the out!

It may not have been a perfect toss - but San Diego Padres shortstop Jose Iglesias made sure to get the out with a little style!

To finish off last week's highlights, how about Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto going airborne for this amazing tag at home plate!
