Cincinnati Reds ace Hunter Greene went four innings against the Chicago Cubs on Friday in his return from the 15-day injured list (IL).
In his return, Greene gave up two runs on three hits while walking two batters and striking out two on a total of 83 pitches (55 strikes).
Greene even hit 101 on the gun on a strikeout to Chicago Cubs leadoff batter Ian Happ.
Greene was originally placed on the 15-day IL following a groin injury that he sustained on May 7th during a game against the Atlanta Braves.
The 25-year-old starting pitcher is still sitting on a pretty 2.36 earned run average (ERA) for the season and has only given up more than five hits just twice in his nine starts.
Greene improved his season stats - giving up just 29 hits in 45.2 innings pitched, walking just eight batters while striking out 61.
