Olympiacos climbed to second in Euroleague with an entertaining win over Baskonia on a busy night of European basketball. Elsewhere Andalou Efes, Real Madrid and Monaco all picked up victories.

Andalou Efes - Alba Berlin 78-74

Vasilije Micic and Will Clyburn combined for 36 points as reigning Euroleague champions Andalou Efes beat Alba Berlin 78-74.

The pair scored nearly half of their team's total points in a closely-fought tussle that saw the lead change hands in every quarter.

But, the Turkish side saw the game out, scoring four of the last six plays to take their third win of the campaign.

Panathinaikos - Monaco 80-83

Despite an outstanding showing from Derrick Williams, his Panathinaikos team were beaten by three points at the hands of Monaco.

It was an uphill battle for the Greek side as the visitors stormed into a 16-point lead at the end of the first quarter - they had guard Mike James to thank for much of their success with the American netting 27 points in the contest.

Although the hosts did win the next two quarters, they could never quite get back to parity with Monaco, eventually running out of gas in the final quarter and succumbing to their third loss of the campaign.

Baskonia - Olympiacos 92-97

Olympiacos showed off their shooting skills with an entertaining five-point victory over Baskonia in what was the highest scoring game of Friday night's fixtures.

Aleksandar Vezenkov and Kostas Sloukas both scored more than 20 points in the encounter with the latter creating six assists, capping off a great night for the Greek star.

For Baskonia, their second quarter surge was enough to bring them level at the half, however Olympiacos' superior shooting was enough to see them over the line and climb to second in the Euroleague standings.

Real Madrid - Red Star Belgrade 72-56

Real Madrid snapped a two-game losing streak to hand Euroleague's bottom club, Red Star Belgrade a damning defeat in the Spanish capital.

Scoring just 32% of your field points will always leave you struggling and the Serbian outfit were never really in the game, falling 10 points behind early on.

Ironically it was their player Ben Bentil who top scored in the match with 17 points to go with his five rebounds. However, he was not backed up with the next best from the team scoring just 10 points.

Real Madrid won the contest by 16 points taking their record for the season to two wins and two losses.
