22:53 CET - Oihan Sancet's first-half strike has proved to be enough for Athletic Club to beat their Basque neighbours Real Sociedad 1-0 in LaLiga. The win provides more than just precious bragging rights for Athletic's fans as the club is now back in the top five of the standings.

22:43 CET - In the final match in Ligue 1 for the round, Nice have edged Strasbourg 2-1 at home to jump back up into the top five.

22:39 CET - Lazio have smashed 10-man Bologna 3-0 in Rome to move back up into level second in the Serie A standings. It really could not be closer at the summit of the table in Italy with the top five separated by just one point. Bologna, meanwhile, are down in eighth.

21:51 CET - In Bilbao, Athletic lead Real Sociedad 1-0 at the break thanks to a goal from Oihan Sancet.

21:40 CET - Over in Rome, it's still goalless between Lazio and Bologna at half-time with the visitors down to 10 men after Tommaso Pobega received two yellows in the first period.

20:45 CET - There is one more treat to come from LaLiga this weekend with a Basque derby between Athletic Club and Real Sociedad kicking off at 21:00 CET. Both sides have slipped out of the top seven and will be desperate for a win over their local rival.

Thanks to the victory and Barca’s draw on Saturday, Los Blancos are now just four points off the Catalans with Atletico Madrid one further point behind Real. A title race is shaping up!

19:52 CET - Napoli have edged Roma 1-0 thanks to a goal from Romelu Lukaku to go back to the summit of the Serie A standings. Claudio Ranieri's first match back at the capital club didn't go to plan with Roma mustering just one shot on target and 37 per cent of possession.

Antonio Conte's men are now the outright leaders in Italy by one point. Lazio host Bologna in the last match this evening, looking to join the group of sides one point behind Napoli.

19:26 CET - The Ruben Amorim era at Manchester United has kicked off with a 1-1 draw at newly-promoted Ipswich.

An early Marcus Rahsford goal buoyed the travelling United fans but ultimately, Ipswich worked their way back into the contest and proved that Amorim has plenty of work to do yet. Below you can see the key match stats.

Over in Ligue 1, Auxerre have moved up to sixth in the standings with a 1-0 win over Angers. Meanwhile, Nantes' match with Le Havre has been interrupted twice due to fan protests.

It was a dream start to the Ruben Amorim era for United with Marcus Rashford scoring inside two minutes but Ipswich found an equaliser through Omari Hutchinson late in the half.
