Swedish Hockey League (SHL) leaders Farjestad have increased their winning run to 10 matches but only after coming through a tough test at Brynas, while on a night of four shutouts, Malmo secured one to take fourth place from opponents Rogle.

It's four three-point victories in a row for Farjestad since the only win in that 10-match streak which went beyond regulation time, while Brynas drop to 11th after narrowly missing out on ending what is now a four-match losing run.

Another comfortable evening looked to be in store for the visitors when Patric Aslund gave them an early lead, but strikes from Milton Gastrin, Johan Larsson and Axel Rindell had Brynas 3-1 ahead by the fifth minute of period two. However, three goals in three-and-a-half minutes had Farjestad ahead again before the period was over - one from Jack Berglund and two from Viktor Lodin.

Lodin then made it a hat-trick early in the third to give Farjestad a two-goal advantage, but Oskar Lindblom cut the gap with 12 minutes still to play. Yet even with time on their side, Brynas were unable to find an equaliser, and the league leaders held on for a 5-4 win.

Malmo took fourth place in the standings from Skane rivals Rogle by beating them 3-0 away from home, picking up a second win in a row and ending the Angelholm side's three-game winning run. Carl Persson broke the deadlock in the first minute of period two before Robin Hanzl and Petter Vesterheim completed the win in the third, as Oskar Blomgren made 30 saves across the 60 minutes to complete a shutout.

Holding onto a place in the top six are Orebro, who beat Frolunda 3-2 for a third win in four, while it's now three defeats in four for the visitors who dropped to third and were overtaken by Skelleftea, who completed a 3-1 win over Linkoping.

Magnus Hellberg made 28 saves as his Djurgarden side won 3-0 at home to HV 71, who remain rooted to the foot of the table after five successive defeats. That's the same number suffered by IF Bjorkloven, whose 22 shots on goal were all kept out by Joel Lassinantti in Lulea's 4-0 home victory, ending a two-game losing run for the side in seventh. To make it four shutouts on one night, Jacob Johansson made 21 saves as Timra beat Vaxjo 3-0 for their second win in a row, while the Lakers remain just above the drop zone after successive defeats.
