Currently 28.000 tickets have been distributed for the game between FC Copenhagen against Naestved in the women's 3rd division. All tickets are free for the game.
This would beat the current record which dates back to a friendly between Denmark and Brazil in 2022 where 21.542 spectators passed through the turnstiles.
"I don't think any of us can fully understand that maybe more than 20,000 people will come and see our match. It just shows that women's football is in a huge development, and that people are ready for it and may actually have been waiting for it," says FCK player Anna Kaas to TV 2 Sport.
It certainly seems likely that FC Copenhagen will break the record for the most spectators at a Danish women's club match.
Before the season, the record was 2,204 spectators for the match between HB Køge and Brøndby, but on the first matchday, 5,165 spectators found their way to Vanloese Idrætspark, where FC Copenhagen usually plays.
