"With over 64mm of rain falling in the last hour at polytec Stadium and more than 40mm of rain expected before kick-off, the proactive decision has been made to postpone the fixture with pitch conditions deemed unplayable," the league stated shortly before the scheduled kickoff.
The league will continue to monitor the conditions at Polytec Stadium ahead of tomorrow's planned A-League Women match between Central Coast Mariners and Perth Glory.
A new date and time for the match is yet to be determined.
It caps off a horrendous week for the Mariners after their ownership were stripped of the club licence, with the APL taking over and the future of the club academy thrown into sudden limbo.
