19:24 CET - Everton have come away from Villa Park with a precious 1-0 win in the Premier League, thanks to Thierno Barry’s second-half strike.

The Toffees move up to 10th thanks to the victory, while for Aston Villa, that’s their first home loss since August, remarkably.

19:02 CET - We're just under an hour away from tonight's blockbuster Africa Cup of Nations showdown between tournament hosts Morocco and 2021 winners Senegal.

The Lions of Teranga are contesting their third final in the last four editions of AFCON, while the Atlas Lions are making their first appearance in the showpiece since 2004.

The atmosphere is certainly ramping up in Rabat, as the continent's two highest-ranked nations look to secure just their second-ever AFCON title.

19:57 CET - Staying in Serie A, title hopefuls Napoli have edged Sassuolo 1-0, thanks to Stanislav Lobotka’s early strike.

That win takes them to within six points of league leaders Inter, who won earlier today. Antonio Conte won't be happy about that gap, but at least they are in range.

19:50 CET - The late game in Italy today sees Juventus travelling to Sardinia to take on Cagliari from 20:45 CET

19:16 CET - Nigeria prevail on penalties! After star men Mo Salah and Omar Marmoush missed Egypt's first two, Nigeria's players kept their cool with Ademola Lookman converting the winner to give the Super Eagles the bronze medal.

18:04 CET - That's that in Tottenham, where the hosts have been beaten 2-1 by West Ham in a match that could well be Thomas Frank's last.
