The Betway Premiership returns this weekend after the international break and clubs will want to hit the ground again running after a stop-start campaign so far.

We look at who have impressed with their numbers and who are lagging behind in a snapshot of who has the most, and least, in various categories in the 2025/26 campaign.

Most points: 25 – Mamelod Sundowns

Sundowns’ points have come from 12 games, leaving them top of the table but by no means out of reach. Orlando Pirates have 22 points from 10 games and Kaizer Chiefs have 22 from 11. Both are within striking distance.

Fewest points: 7 – Chippa United

Seven points from 12 games is relegation form and these are dark days for the club from the Eastern Cape, who are already on their third head coach of the campaign.

Most wins: 7 – Sundowns and Pirates

The two frontrunners have picked up the most victories, with Chiefs and Sekhukhune United next on the list with six.

Fewest wins: 1 – Chippa United

No surprise to see Chippa bottom of this list too. Their single victory was a 2-1 win at home to Orbit College in mid-September.

Most draws: 4 – Sundowns, Chiefs, Polokwane City, Richards Bay, Marumo Gallants, Magesi FC, Chippa

Part of the reason Sundowns have not pulled away is too many draws from their perspective this season. Chiefs will also feel they should have turned a few of their stalemates into wins.

Fewest draws: 1 – Pirates, TS Galaxy, Lamontville Golden Arrows, Orbit College

This quartet have been involved in just a single draw each this term, meaning it has been mostly win or bust.

Most defeats: 7 – Chippa, Stellenbosch FC, Orbit College

The surprising name on this list is Stellenbosch FC, whose poor league form continues, having suffered back-to-back defeats in their last two games. It is mystifying.

Fewest defeats: 1 – Sundowns, Chiefs

Sundowns’ only loss this campaign came at Golden Arrows in September, while Chiefs have also been beaten just once, losing 3-1 at home to Sekhukhune United that same month.

Most goals scored: 19 – Sundowns

Sundowns head the scorers’ list, but only by one from Golden Arrows. Galaxy are third with 16 from 11 games. Few would have predicted seeing the latter two in this part of the table at the start of the campaign.

Fewest goals scored: 7 – Chippa, Stellenbosch, Siwelele

Once again it is a surprise to see Stellenbosch on this list, but it is the root of their problems. All three teams have played 12 games and have a ratio well below par.

Most goals conceded: 20 – Orbit College

The promoted side have won three of their last five topflight games, so things are improving, but their defence remains a worry with 20 goals conceded already.

Fewest goals conceded: 5 – Pirates

Pirates have let in the fewest goals, though that is from 10 games. Still, conceding once every other game is an excellent record. It means they would concede just 15 all season at the same rate — Championship-winning numbers.

Most points at home: 16 – Sundowns

Sundowns have managed 16 points from six home games, one more than Golden Arrows, though the latter have played a game more. Sundowns are one of four teams unbeaten at home this season, along with Sekhukhune, Polokwane City and Marumo Gallants. They also have the most goals (14) on their own patch.

Least points at home: 6 – Chippa

Least points (6), least wins (1), least goals scored (4), most goals conceded (12) — these are dire days for the Chilli Boyz.
