The 27-year-old Kasper Dolberg joins Ajax on a four-year deal, costing the Amsterdam giants a fixed fee of €10 million. Anderlecht could receive an additional €2 million through bonuses.
Dutch media reported that Celtic were also after Dolberg and had agreed to terms with the Dane, but Dolberg pulled the plug on that deal once Ajax came forward, stating he feels it was "time to come home".
Kasper Dolberg played for Ajax between 2015 and 2019, scoring 43 goals for the Amsterdam giants, with whom he reached the Europa League final in 2017.
"He fits perfectly"
"Kasper is back on familiar ground. He knows Ajax, the club knows him and his qualities," technical director Alex Kroes said on the club website.
"As far as we are concerned, he fits perfectly into our current squad as a striker and makes us stronger and more versatile in the different competitions in which we compete. We are delighted that he has once again chosen Ajax and look forward to his contribution in the coming seasons."
Ajax brought the Danish ace back after selling forwards Brian Brobbey and Bertrand Traore to Premier League side Sunderland for a combined €22.5 million. The record Eredivisie champions could earn up to €25 million for Brobbey via bonuses.

The 27-year-old Dolberg arrived at Ajax in 2015 after leaving Danish club Silkeborg and left Ajax in 2020 for Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice.
After being loaned out to Hoffenheim and Sevilla, Dolberg joined Belgian side Anderlecht in 2023. The 55-time Danish international notched 39 goals in 87 games for the Brussels side.
