Feyenoord qualified for the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds by finishing third in last year's Eredivisie, but were knocked out by Turkish giants Fenerbahce, who sacked manager Jose Mourinho this morning.
The Rotterdam outfit played in the UEFA Champions League over the past two seasons and advanced to the round of 16, where they were eliminated by eventual finalists Internazionale.
Feyenoord, who are managed by Premier League icon Robin van Persie, won the Europa League back when it was the UEFA Cup in 2002, when they beat Borussia Dortmund in Rotterdam.
