The busy winter period came to a close during the week in the Premier League, with plenty of superb individual showings in the latest round of fixtures.

Tottenham's Cristian Romero picked up the highest Flashscore player rating from the last set of games, earning an 8.8 despite being on the wrong end of a 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth.

The defender was ultimately on the losing side but still managed to win 21 duels, make seven tackles, intercept the ball twice, and clear it seven times.

He was also a major threat at the other end of the pitch and created two big chances while also registering six touches in the opposition box and having a match-high three shots.

He made headlines after the game for taking a shot at his club's hierarchy.
